Rebuilding supply chain resiliency and supplier confidence at a fast food chain 

McDonald’s commercial teams used statistical forecasts based on point of sale (POS) data to manage supply chain and distribution. Without a formalized forecasting process, McDonald’s suppliers had no visibility into commercial needs which created alignment challenges between the system partners. Market driven supply chain disruptions further exacerbated the issues between partners


IBP2 worked with McDonald’s and its supply network to design and deploy system-wide collaborative planning processes to align commercial and supply chain incentives and improve visibility across the network. The content and analytics were digitized to facilitate strategic, exception-based collaboration, allowing commercial planning to better understand product mix risks and opportunities
